How do I know what size to buy?
We will write the size of the item’s label or give a close approximation of standard unisex sizes.
I’ve seen something online that I want in another size/colour.
As we are a vintage store, almost all the items we sell are unique one offs and are only available in the size and colour advertised on the website unless specified otherwise.
Do you buy vintage clothes from customers to sell?
Yes, we do! If you live in Berlin or are visiting Berlin and are interested in making money from your vintage clothes, send pictures of your items to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line: ‘Buy my vintage clothes’. We are mainly interested in high quality, branded vintage clothes and not brands like H&M, Topshop and Zara. We take care of the photography, marketing and postage for a commission of 50%.
Why do I need to create an account to shop online?
Registering with us helps speed up the ordering process and lets you keep track of your orders and refunds in our vintage clothing shop.
How do I change details on my The Black Market account?
Once you have created an account, you'll be able to log into your My Account anytime you want to change your password, email address, delivery information and phone number.
I forgot my sign-in details?
Don't worry, all you need to do is select the Forgot Password link and follow the instructions. If your problem continues, email us at email@example.com and a member of our team will get back to you within 48 hours. Please bear in mind our website office hours are 9:00am-5pm Mon-Fri.
Delivery and Return Questions
How long will delivery take?
We aim to deliver orders to German customers between 3 to 5 working days as we understand how important it is for you to receive your goods when you expect them. For customers who require delivery outside of Germany, please allow between 6-12 working days. All our orders are sent with regular Deutsche Post or DHL. All orders over €100 will automatically have a tracking number. You will receive an email upon dispatch of your order letting you know it is on its way. If there is no answer at the address when your parcel arrives, you will be left a calling card with instructions on how to collect your order or rearrange delivery.
How much will delivery cost?
Delivery costs will depend on the delivery weight and which country your parcel is being delivered to and generally costs between 4€ - 18€/ order. Use our delivery cost calculator at checkout. For orders over 100€ within Europe, the delivery is free (this is automatically applied on the checkout page).
How do I return my order?
You can return any item at our vintage clothing shop you are not completely happy with, within 10 days of receiving them. All you need to do is follow these steps: 1. Email us firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number enclosed 2. Return your order via post to: THE BLACK MARKET C/O: VESTER, EBELINGST 5 BERLIN, 12055 GERMANY Unfortunately, we cannot refund the cost of postage (this includes the original delivery cost and return postage). If you wish to request reimbursement for postage due to an incorrectly advertised, damaged or faulty item just get in touch with us and we will reimburse your postage costs.
Have you received my return?
Once your return has been processed, you will receive a returns confirmation email. If for some reason, you don't receive this email within 10 days of posting your parcel to us, please email us at email@example.com with your return reference number.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes, we do! Please send your order number and links to the product/s you want to exchange to at firstname.lastname@example.org

Do you collaborate with fashion influencers?
Yes we do! If your style is a good fit for The Black Market, we will give you free clothes in exchange for social media promotion of our online vintage store. Please send all your social media links and fans/ follower numbers to firstname.lastname@example.org
Can I change my shipping address after I’ve submitted my order?
Unfortunately it is not currently possible to change the shipping address once the order has been marked as shipped so ensure you write the correct address at checkout.
